Birds of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park

I have lived in Kensington for over 20 years and take great pleasure in visiting our magnificent parks where we are fortunate to find a wide diversity of bird life. Part of my daily routine is to take a long, brisk walk, usually with camera in hand. As a photographer, I have developed a deep passion for capturing the beauty and individual character of these birds.

When the seasons change so do many of the species. Spring heralds the arrival of new life. It is a miracle to observe many of the young surviving against all the odds as they grow into adult birds, I am fortunate to have formed a bond with some who always come over to greet me each day.

The birds greatly enrich my life and give immense joy.
